ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jay recently retired after 20 plus years working as an occupational therapist in a public school. He has always enjoyed creative writing and is thrilled to have published two books in his "I Flew Again Books" children’s series. He has written songs and plays guitar and has created an executive function program to help children and adults with learning difficulties. He hopes to secure funding in order to research how his executive function program can benefit brain health. He resides in the New England area with his wife, Ruth.
Jay has written several books about Conor and his new adventures. These books will be published soon. His next book in which Conor meets Cesar Chavez should be published in 2026!
BOOK READING
OPPORTUNITIES
Jay’s first book was published and is available on Amazon: "I Flew Again Last Night: Meeting Harriet Tubman". It's a wonderful read and an excellent way to introduce children to an incredible woman - Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad.
Jay’s second book was published this summer and is also available on Amazon: "I Flew Again Last Night: Meeting Chief Seattle". Children will learn about the connection Chief Seattle and his people had with nature and the difficult decision he had to make about the land of his ancestors.
Jay is available to visit schools. The book reading would provide great information to students any time of year, but would be especially relevant during Black History Month (February), Women’s Month-which is also Harriet Tubman’ birth month (March) and/or Juneteenth!
Native American Heritage Month is in November so Autumn would be a great time to celebrate that culture by hearing about Chief Seattle and his Nation.
Feel free to call Jay or Ruth if you would like more information about the book and/or set up a book reading. Jay's cell: 203-885-9193. Ruth's cell: 203-733-3718.
